It also did a nice job of navigating between furniture and objects although it struggled a bit with stairs, where it can accidentally crash into things like bookcases.
We were impressed by the fact that the S9 automatically returns to its base to empty its dust bin when it's full, which significantly minimizes the need to be hands-on with maintenance. The dust bag will last for about 30 loads or a month and a half. It's recommended to replace the filter on a regular basis (as suggested by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not very noisy when it operates making it a great option for families with children or pets.

Roborock V3S pro
This robot doesn't have the same number of features as some of the more expensive ones we tested, however it does have the basics covered. It has a big dust bin that can hold a large amount of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. The vacuum and mop system is great for carpets with hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile. It's also extremely quiet, and we were able to sit and watch television while it was cleaning without feeling like it was bombarding us with noise.
Our testers were very impressed by how easy the machine was to use and set up. They also appreciated its ability to remove all the mess from their floors. It did a good job picking up pet hair, messes and carpeting however, it was more difficult in getting rid of stains that were stubborn. They found the app user-friendly and intuitive, and they were able to program the vacuum to be cleaned on a regular basis to cut down on the amount they needed to do manually. It's also super quiet and has a huge dust bin that can hold lots of debris before it needs emptying so you don't need to worry about regularly emptying it.
The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choice lists from reliable sources that conduct hands-on tests, however it was praised by Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They liked the ease of set up and use, however they did note that the battery life was very short and it was unable to stay clear of some of the most stubborn messes we put it through.
